A first-person animation designed as a studio tour. SHOWCASE! uses real handheld movement to give a digital space the immediacy of a filmed walk-through.
Camera approach
Kai used an iPhone with LiDAR and CamTrackAR to capture handheld camera movement. That tracked motion became the first-person viewpoint for the studio-tour animation rather than relying on a perfectly smooth, synthetic camera path.
Production
The 3D work was built and animated in Autodesk Maya. CamTrackAR supplied the mobile camera-tracking workflow, and Final Cut Pro was used for the finished edit.
Creative intent
The project explores how an accessible capture device can bridge live camera language and a fully digital environment. It is presented as a personal animation experiment, without a client or performance claim.
